Hey there my friends.My name is Robert and I am a Alcoholic. I first came into the Fellowship at age of thirty eight years old.And I am now sixty three years old. My father who had 34 years of sobriety at the time of his passing. He was also a member of the fellowship.Alcoholism was prevalent in our family and all my siblings are alcoholic’s.This program saved my life.My other illness and I believe it is was criminality.And also the illness of schizophrenia.Like it is written’There are those to who suffer from grave emotional and mental disorders but many of them do recover if they have the capacity to be honest’!As I write this I am in my twenty fifth year of sobriety.With out relapse.Truly I am free from the bondage of alcoholism and criminal thinking. I have been out of conflict with the law for twenty seven years.Many years of my life were spent in mental institutions and prisons.Both provincial and federal prisons.Of which included a stay in solitary confinement for two years. I was truly a career criminal and labeled a hopeless case!And back then I believed that too. But now this lifestyle has changed all that.And I am forever grateful to the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous and all those who made my life what it is today!THANK YOU! Robert B.
