PI / CPC Committee
The Public Information / Cooperation with the Professional Community (PI / CPC) Committee carries the A.A. message beyond our rooms: informing the general public about A.A. and building bridges with professionals who encounter alcoholics in their work. When someone needs help, we want them (and the people they turn to) to know where A.A. is.

Public Information (PI)
PI makes A.A. visible and accessible to people who need it. We staff community events, supply schools and libraries with literature, work with local media while honouring anonymity, and keep A.A.'s online presence current.

Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC)
CPC supports the doctors, counsellors, teachers, judges, faith leaders, and other professionals who meet alcoholics in their work. We provide literature, speak at professional gatherings, and help build links between A.A. groups and the institutions that serve alcoholics, so professionals know what A.A. is, what it isn't, and how to refer someone effectively.
Practical guidance for AAs working with the professional community: outreach to healthcare, education, corrections, faith communities, and beyond, with sample letters, presentation outlines, and tips on building lasting relationships.

Get Involved
No special qualifications: just sound sobriety, a willingness to share your experience, and respect for anonymity. Whether you'd like to speak at events, prepare materials behind the scenes, or help coordinate, there's a place for you. Members receive training and work together as a team.
