View Online

The August 2026 issue of Our Primary Purpose highlights A.A.’s primary purpose of carrying its message to everyone who seeks recovery, with a particular focus on accessibility, inclusion, personal growth, and service. The newsletter encourages groups to remove barriers that may prevent people from participating fully in A.A.

This issue features a reflection on seven years of sobriety, emphasizing patience, meditation, humility, gratitude, growth, connection, and service. It also continues a discussion about the use of the Lord’s Prayer in meetings, exploring how groups can balance tradition, spiritual expression, autonomy, unity, and inclusion.

In addition, the issue promotes the upcoming Eastern Ontario Conference and provides information about Intergroup elections, 12-Step volunteering, the Telephone Answering Service, committee meetings, and other service opportunities.

Overall, the newsletter encourages members to strengthen recovery and fellowship by welcoming others, participating in service, and keeping A.A.’s message available to the alcoholic who still suffers.
