There are several annual AA events in Ottawa:
Eastern Ontario Fall Conference
In existence since 1951, the Eastern Ontario Fall Conference is the oldest AA event in the National Capital Region. Sponsored by Ottawa Area Intergroup. This three day event features AA and Al-Anon panels and speakers from across Canada, the United States, and beyond, as well as a banquet, information tables, dance and other fellowship activities. Ottawa Spring Conference
The Spring Conference celebrated its 35th year in Ottawa in 2014. Sponsored by Ottawa Area Intergroup, the event is usually held in April at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel, and features AA panels and speakers from across Canada and the United States, as well as a banquet, information tables, dance and other fellowship activities. Around since the late 1970s, the Alkathon is an annual winter event occurring December 24 to 25 and December 31 to January 1. Currently, it is held at the Bronson Centre. The basic purpose of the Alkathon is to provide a safe and sober environment for the new and still suffering alcoholic over Christmas and New Year. Features AA and AFG discussion groups, panels and speakers, as well as donated meals, hospitality tables, fellowship activities, and a New Year's Eve dance. Sponsored by District 54, the Vanier Roundup is a bilingual event that has occurred annually in early June since 1983 at Richelieu-Vanier Community Centre. Features a series of regional English and French AA and AFG panels and speakers, as well as dinner, hospitality tables, fellowship activities and a dance. Service in Recovery Day
Sponsored on a rotating basis by one of the three Ottawa districts, this event is usually held in the month on June. Features general service information tables and speakers on the various forms of service in AA from around Area 83. Alcoholics Anonymous.
